I have just had PPP fitted to my STI and am wondering if one of you kind techies out there can tell me what the red pipe under the bonnet is for
I am assuming its replacing a pipe but whats special about a red one.

Sounds like the replacement silicone pipe's that replaces the standard rubber one on the alloy Y piece.

They are less likey to split under pressure.

I thought STis already had the red silicon pipe from the turbo to intercooler Y piece... the PPP for the STi does NOT include any silicon pipes, it's only the WRX PPP that does (but that is a blue pipe with white Prodrive lettering).

Your probably right, i just cant remember noticing the pipe before.
I should pay more attention to my car.
I was only looking as i can remember something about pipes mentioned in a previous ppp thread.
I must admit to being confused as there was no mention of said pipe in itemised invoice.
I knew Scoobynet could be useful
