Question

Can anyone advise of any Scooby friendly companies (with contact numbers), as my mate has had quotes from Chrurchill (his existing insurer) from £500 for a standard UK car to £1400 for an RB5 (which THEY rate as Grp 20 - higher even than a 22B!).

Many thanks
Mike R

Mike,

I'm with A-Plan (don't have the No. to hand, sorry). They have been very competitive for many Scoobynetters. To give you an idea, i'm paying just shy of a grand for a MY99 STi V TypeR V-Limited with minor declared mods. I'm 28!

Cheers
Chris.

£500 for a UK Impreza, and your point is ?

I am obviously being screwed then as mine is currently £100 shy of five times that.

I've found Bell Direct to be cheaper than most. They have a sophisticated on-line quote system which can supply quotes for modified cars as well.

Mike

How old is your friend? If over 30 then NFU Mutual is it for the more rural areas

Number to be found under a search of UK Insurance NFU Karen

Don't bother if under 30...

Mike,

I am trying to insure an RA at the moment and its an absolute nightmare .

Try Rum as has already been suggested as he knows his scoobies and was very helpful.

I tried Adrian Flux but everytime I rang I spent 10 minutes on hold so I gave up .

The best quote I have so far is with A-Plan who are £400 cheaper than any other quote. They are definitely worth a ring.

Hope this helps,

Chrisp

Try calling Luke @ Insure Direct on 0800 1975000 - they specialise in imports too. I must have called 20 + different ones, and they're all f***g rip off merchants, but Luke came up with a decent quote.
