Question Purple parking Heathrow?

I've booked a parking space at Purple parking and don't know whether to take the scoob or van, as they park the car after you leave it at reception with the keys in it! has anybody had any dealings with them good or bad?

Ironically, as long as you can trust the staff, there's more chance your car will be totally boxed in until you get it back.

Put a strip of painters masking tape inside the windscreen and write down the mileage on it in big letters when you hand it over. Might stop them "trying it out".

My brothers friend used to work for one of these parking companies at Heatrhow.

They were constantly "trying out" peoples cars, so I would take the van just to be safe.

I take mine down and park at pink elephant it is 5 mins from terminal 1/2/3

Why pay the extra to get it parked - just do it yourself !

I put my car there a couple of weeks ago. They park your car for you, unlike the better ones where you can park yourself. On the way there I was cut up by some cretin who I followed all the way to the Purple Parking - he went in the staff entrance. Overall I got away with just the one dent in a door and a small gouge out of the steering wheel.

Pass it everyday on the train, looks rammed with cars at the moment.

I was going to book in there last night but decided with BCP instead, a little closer and only a few more quid.

I'm leaving the scoob at home and taking a friends run around. Not worth the hassle.
If I was taking the scoob I'd prefer to park it with a company that parks it themselves, less likey to be stolen but you run the risk of them playing with it.

cheers for the replies i normally use parking express where i park the car and take the keys, but purple parking is nearer to the overnight hotel i booked and £45 cheaper. Used purple a few times years ago with no probs but still looks like a sh*t drive down in the van!!!
