Removing key scratches
Advice needed please all....
My mates got a Civic Type R in black and some **** has keyed the side of his car. Since he isn't very good at anything to do with cars apart from driving them he has asked me if i can have a go at making a good as possible job of removing the scratches.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on the best way to remove scratches from a black car WITHOUT spraying the whole panel.
Obvious is T-cut and a good polish as ive done previously but what im wondering is if he got a touch up brush in the correct colour could i put a light coat into the scratch then polish it a few times to blend it in.
Ive never tried this before and i dont want it to turn into a nightmare where you can see this big line of paint down the side of the car!
Any other tips anyone can give me would be great!

I just used chips away for a bad scratch down to the base coat. They did respray but cost £117. Not bad for a 2 foot long scratch on the rear door, handle and rear quarter panel. Perfect results too.

would honestly get it sprayed as unless you are very good and patient you will end up with a give a way line of touch up paint going aross the panels.
Also Nighthawk black has a flek in the paint which does not seem to be present in the honda touch up, so even a prefect buffed line would be more visible under certain lights !
PS Honda paint is very soft - be careful what products you use !
