Default What to go for? Advice needed

Right then!

I`ve got the option to go for PPP on my wrx 53 plate + 2 years extented manufactures warranty, all in for £2000 (£1300 for ppp £700 for warranty)

Before i got this quote i was thinking of going for uprated power through the one and only scoobyclinic, this would give me around 280 bhp! at a cost of around £1500. But obviously no warranty.

My wrx still has warranty remaining til Oct this year and has done 22000 miles.

Which one would you guys go for

Cheers
Mike

I would wait for your warrenty to run out in October, then go to Scoobyclinic or TSL etc.. and have a decent sounding exhaust, remap and any extras.

However if you are not bothered about a loud exhaust and all that and you will not do any other modding in the next 2 years you might aswell go for the PPP.

Had ppp and had the TSL 333.............perosnally I'd go down the DIY route.

I've just spent 2.5k on my 53 plate sti and have probably got around 360-380bhp.

Spec:
ported headers
ported and wrapped up pipe
3" decat exhaust
18G turbo
Uprated fuel pump
Panel filter
Andy F remap

Very very true Kitch and in fairness you are probably answering your own question.

If you want the piece of mind then ppp is the only way to go. Assuming you can remain content with the 265 (and there is no reason why you shouldn't-it will still be a capable car) then thats the one for you.

My ppp was on an sti which then had the Ecutek 333 remap at TSL. Was never that happy with the way the car drove and my next round of mods have ironed out the annoying issues that I had.

I just think (and this is only my opinion) the ppp is a lot of money for what it is considering you could add the exhaust; panel filter; fuel pump and remap yourself and have better package. FWIW I've just sold my full Prodrive exhaust package (4 parts including sports cat) for £350.00.
100.00 fuel pump and £50.00 filter then circa £600.00 from the likes of Andy F for the Ecutek remap and you are under budget and without doubt more than 265bhp..................

Decisions decisions..
