Seriously, don't tell me you swallowed all that guff about performance issues?
I suppose the guys over at http://board.flashkit.com/board/index.php don't know what they are doing either. They use the same software, have ten times as many users as here and yet still seem to be able to offer the 3 rudimentary features I have listed. They are clearly insane and have no concept of what it means to run a <airquote>large forum</airquote>!

Didn't like the idea of having something added without being asked.
i.e, heres your zoinks thingy, oh, by the way if you don't want it turn it off. NOT Please have a look at this zoints thingy, turn it on if you want it

Guys
If you don't like it.. simply don't use it. It is all completely optional and a complete added extra which some users will want, and others will have no interest in.
Captain Jack. Should we do something about the lame people who are too scared to post under their main usernames?

Well at least we know the real reason for the downtime now. Instead of fixing search you have been rigging up traps to get unsuspecting members to prostitute their account details to a 3rd party!
Re: being scared. Hardly. I said before, I have not masked my IP so you should know exactly who I am. How is that being scared?
Besides, you should be delighted that I have so many usernames... a big fat user list looks so much more appetising to the corporate advertising fat cats!

Everyone.. Listen to Captain Jack. He has worked it all out
He's first of all pointed out the fact that we've spent about 24 hours trying to install zoints (which takes around 3 minutes, does not require you to stop the board, and is - as anyone who runs a vbulletin forum will know - a simple case of about 3 mouse clicks).
He has also worked out that we need to show off to Zoints with our membership so we look better.. Although, saying that, any forum can join zoints free of charge, and without any minimum requirements.
Maybe he means our advertising networks? Hang on, they only care about the number of unique visitors, etc.
You're so clever Captain (sorry, just got to check again.. are you a REAL captain? or just want people to think you're important?) - you've got it all worked out.
Now stop being a moron, shut up and let the grown ups talk.

One would have thought sorting out simple things like the search index (which still isn't right, by the way), who's online, 30 second search abomination etc that will make people's lives easier would be higher up on the agenda than pestering them to sign up to some absurd American flirting site.
But what would a humble servant of the sea know?

so what your saying then from the description is that this will attract new members who dont even have scoobs, attracting people to the forum. Cant wait for all the posts that will appear from the Nova/Corsa brigade. So loads more bullsh!t posts, loads more trolling, basically less usual stuff which will be harder to see because of all the other irrelevant cr@p

as for the AKA thing I personally think you shouldn't be allowed more than 1 account per email address like other sites however I have no influence in these matters.
