Hes a kiddy aint he!

Obviously travis Pastrana is a very talented bloke, must be nearly as good in a rally car as he is on a freestyle MX bike

That is some recovery tho. Shows how good a driver he is, most people would have just sat there still after a roll like that.

That was a silly mistake taking that jump at that angle though. He was a little ragged around there but spectacular as normal. That was a really swift recovery though

dont think the competition was up to much really. I presume he was drafted in as a PR coup for the first time the rallying has been in the X games.

The guy who won is a top freestyle motorcrosser and an average supercrosser - hardly Sebastian Loeb.

Still good to see him a scoob and the rest of his run was bloody impresive though.

lol, tbh thats why i said it, he must have lost the best part of 15 to 20 seconds cos of the roll, would have been well and truely ahead, be interested to see if more wrc drivers get involved next year.

good fast action though, nice 2 min run to sort men from the boys, and awesome for the spectators in the stands

That's what I call driving!

. . . The guy commenting in the background seems to know his driving, but does he understand the offside rule . .

Not sure how many 'average' supercrosser's can pull a double back flip.

have to say i thought most of the top people competed at the x games, newer events tend not to though, give it a few years and prob will get the wrc guys coming over

If you read my post again i said top frestyle MX'er! the best by far in fact. He is a distinctly average supercrosser though. IIRC he was up there in the outdoor season 3/4 years back though.

Fair enough.

Have you seen NC3? The opening scene is TP rallying a scoob on a stage rally. The co-driver call three right caution.... and then before you know it he rolls the car to a ball. When the car comes to a standstill, TP shouts "waaahoooo....thats a hell of a ride"... Brilliant.

I have not no, i was unaware he had actually done any rallying. It does explain why he is reasonably close to Mcrae though.

He was a bit unlucky. I was watching this during the week with espn online. Everyone else took the jump slow on the day, and then turned into the hairpin. But on Mcraes first lap (not shown int he video), he took it like that! (i.e. setting the car up as it left the start of the jump so it was turning int he air). The result was he was facing well ito the follwing hairpin and got a superb run. He took 1sec out of Pastrana in the stadium section alone!!

Unfortunately it didn't seem to go quite as smoothly ont he 2nd lap . you can see what he was tryin to do though!
