JDM STi 03/04 prices?
After having owned 2 WRX PPP's, one bugeye, one blobeye, and 2 STi's, one bugeye PPP and one blobeye standard, I am now seriously considering a JDM STi. Ian Litchfield has given me a few details already, and what i would like to know from you chaps is do you know what is roughly the going rate for these cars? I really do not want to spend more than £15k, I told Ian £16k would be my max budget but closer to £15k would be better ideally. I would want an 03/04 JDM STi, a 1 owner car with very low mileage, immaculate, totally accident free, obviously mapped for UK 98/99 fuel, Subaru or specialist history, with possibly some nice little mods/additions. Privilege Insurance would want an extra £120 a year over a Type UK STi standard car, and after all the excellent stuff i've read regarding JDM's, I think I have to have one!
Thanks in advance for your replies!

I would also like to get a JDM scoob.... from what I have seen so far most of them are for sale around 16k ish (give or take a bit) so I guess it will come down to how much the seller is prepared to come down on price. Some want to sell their cars quickly others are not fussed so will hold out as long as they can for their asking price.

You will proably need to spend a bit more money for what you are asking the better the car the more money you will pay .Litchfield has a few 03 jdm sti for sale 17k mark .I would say 04 plate a few grand more than 03

Your looking at 17-18k from Litimports for a 30k mile car, the JDM's hold their value better than a UK car and produce more power to boot
For your budget your looking at a highish mileage or a private sale, but most owners wont let their cars go for less than 16k.

Thanks for all your good advice! Pippyrips and treehack, you must both be a lot richer than me owning beautiful cars like that, and I'm a train driver supposedly on good money!
I'm buying near the end of October specifically, when I'll have the cash to do a deal, but doing my research now! I'll be in Cyprus next week drooling over the very many tasty Scoob's there.

Bought my MY04 JDM STi back in Feb this year for £14500
It is 346bhp and 369ft/lbs torque remapped by Richard Bulmer for optimax Pulls like a train awsome performance
came with the light weight mags as well
Love the car to bits
Now added a set of AP strapdrive discs to it and it stops awsome now
Off the nurburgring in Oct for a play in it.
Looks like a bargin then
