When you have an alarm fitted, if u have extra solenoids fitted that need to work off a solenoid already fitted, they use like a little block that slides over the bars to join them together then some little screws tighten it up, whats this part called, so im not woffling the above off when i get to the shop LOL
one of the threads has stripped on mine.
maplins sell them if anyone knows the name ?
cheers.....

Thats it.
mine has 3 grub screws, one tightens on the new solenoid bar, the other 2 onto the exisitng bar to the central locking, but now, its only being held onto the exisitng bar by 1 grub screw as the other thread has stripped, hence i need a new one !
wish i never removed it now, but i had to !

MickeyWRX was right. Buy some terminal blocks, not sure of the correct name, I call them chocolate blocks, they come ten in a row and you cut off what you need. Picky here at the top "Connector Blocks".
If you cut off all the plastic then you're left with a brass block with a grub screw each end, exactly what you're looking for. They come in all different sizes, you'll need a high current verson if the blocks are going to be big enough for two of the actuating rods.
Available in most electrical places, Maplins etc, maybe DIY places and probably Halfrauds too.

As long as you have one screw on each rod (car and motor) then it should be fine as it is. As a precaution i would put a couple of cable ties on it. One at either side of the block. This makes it a bit more secure and i generally do this anyway. Some door motors come with blocks which only have 2 bolts so its not something you really have to worry about.
If you want a new one then your best be would be an alarm company. They blocks usually come as part of a kit so you would have to buy the whole kit from maplins whereas an alarm company may have on that they havent used.
As for the name, well I'm not sure what its really called but i would describe it as a DLM rod securing block. But thats just me
