I was quoted £285 for a new age airflow meter but i believe its only £90 for a classic one. Original subaru parts that is.

Price depends on MY. 99/00 are usually the fragile ones and cost about £75 and 2 seconds to fit with a T20 secure torx bit.

The others are just as easy to change but cost mucho dinero

Sometimes the symptoms of a faulty meter are hunting ilde and poor fuel ecomony(always hard to tell in a scoob though)

Lots of people treat MY99/00 MAF's as service items and change them every year.

In my old MY99 Type R I had 2 go in 4 weeks without any indication
Think it was the Blitz SUS filter though, stuck original airbox with K&N panel, no more probs.

Just take this part no to a dealer and they'll sort one, 22794AA010 cp airflow.

You could also try to read for any fault codes , MAF fault 23.
http://www.saxonfields.freeserve.co....iag%20Page.htm

Sometimes this will not show any fault though.
