H&S resonator replacement catching bodywork

H&S resonator replacement catching bodywork
I was in on the H&S group buy a while back and bought the resonator replacement section (middle cat to back box - MY04). However, since fitting it has been banging on a section of the bodywork. It's only just catching (and only then on bumpy roads) but it's bloody annoying
The rest of the system is pro-drive throughout and this section was to last to be changed, with no problems before. I've been under with my mechanic and tried to move the pipe but there's no play at all. only suggestion he has is that we grind the bodywork back my a couple of mil to stop the catching .
Anyone else had similar problems with H&S stuff and should I be contacting them before getting the grinder out? I thought their stuff was absolutely spot on
(BTW the bit of bodywork my mechanic proposes to grind will take the adjustment. I's sort of a seam edge which stands a good way proud of the rest of the floor, just before the floor rises for the rear axle)

Definitely contact Ian at H&S. My centre and Jap BB was fitted by Ian and initially was banging on a bolt under the car (New Age), which was indeed bloody annoying. There is play in the fitting if you know what your doing, it took Ian about 20 seconds to loosen nudge and retighten, sorted!

pipe
mine does exactly that mate. have been in twice now, in the end the guy at the tyre place made a bracket to a guard underneath to hold the pipe over, seems to have worked for now although a bit primitive. BTW i have prodrive bits either side of the pipe aswell
