Default STi Intake manifold

I was just looking over this. on mine i notice there are about three circular ares on this manifold. The whole thing is all of one construction if you get what i mean and then you see three circles. one of these is front of the dump valve.

Im guessing the manifold is going to look similar on anyones impreza.

I notice that one of those circles is totally smooth. But the other two have a small dent in each one. Almost looks like a screwdriver spot but it clearly isnt.

The one in front of the dump valve has a larger "dent" than the other two circles

is this normal ? What are these circular spots? (they appear to bepart of the construction of the manifold for some reason?). anyone else got the same 5mm dents in those circles. they are not that deep. If i push down on them that area has not gone soft.

You may want to download the picture and zoom in

This isnt my car, but i found what i am trying to describe off someone elses picture

in front of the dump valve, you will see a circular spot (red), what is this exactly?

Is it something inside the manifold used to put it together

(mine has a dent in it)

i should clarify

The round circle i am concerned about is not the one directly below the sump valve on the red manifold.

i am concerned about the second one, it is on the manifold nearer to us on the picture near that red coloured cable

I think that you are worrying about nothing. Why don't you ask how to wash you're car again?? Now that is important!

okay hopefully i am worrying about nothing

I was concerned that the manifold would internally implode!

I did panic the other day when i saw green all over the engine bay - thought it was coolant - found out it was the wax melting
