Default Possibly a daft question but....

Is there such a thing as a portable aircon unit for cars? Maybe something that plugs into the *** lighter? I dont want to spend a grand fitting it, when i would only use it when i have the dogs in the car?
Thanks
Steff

my dad lived in hong kong for a few years and i asked him the same question a while back. he said there were 12v units available and that people had been using them to cool individual rooms. i'm not sure of you can buy them in this country, so if you post under the wanted section on ebay you may find that someone is able to source one. apparently they're quite bulky and would take up roughly all of the space below the glove box in your average saloon car.
