Default Anything I should check?

A couple of days ago had a big loss of thrust coupled with a load of smoke coming out of the exhaust. Initial diagnosis from Subaru is that the turbo's blown - hooray! I don't seem to have lost too much oil, and am wondering what else I should check over when the car's in the garage for a new turbo (ie other bits that could have been damaged as a result)

Cheers guys

No-one got any ideas? Just been on phone to Clive Atthlowe in Norwich who seems to think blown turbos are, in fact, very rare. So wondering what else it could be..

Lots of blue smoke, loss of power and occasionally a 'ffftt' sound from the front of the car (lasts about 1/4 of a sec). Have checked the oil and it seems to be full - was actually overfull at first but now a small amount has leaked onto the drive, although the leak seems to have stopped.

Any help would be massively appreciated as have only had the car 2 weeks and really don't want to throw good money after bad.

Thanks, Dave

PS where is the engine water, as I'd like to check it for oil?
