The HD video requires a fairly powerful computer, so i've also uploaded it to youtube.

You want HD and a small file? That video is at 25Mbits/s, i could make it smaller but the quality would be much worse, just look at the youtube version.

I did a version in Windows Media format(720p50) but for some reason part of it became very jerky, not sure why, the file was only 32MB.

You can if they have a HD player(Snazio, Pinnacle etc) or HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player but really it's not that easy right now. You can burn the HD video file to play on a PC but only about 20mins for a normal DVD. It can be converted to DVD video format and the quality is better than if it was recorded in DV.

I've downloaded it and it won't run smooth - sound is very stacato...

I've got an AMD XP2400+ and a NVidia Geforce FX5700LE(128MB) with 512MB RAM...

Quite a slow machine but what decoder are you using? Try elecard mpeg player and enable hardware acceleration with VMR de-interlace.

Question

ELECard worked OK

Running at full size 1265x711 I got a lot of interference on edges but reducing size to 953x536 gave a perfect image.

Couldn't find the controls for 'hardware acceleration with VMR de-interlace' ???

- I guess the main thing I would need to upgrade would be the graphics board to run this kind of resolution video? - or would faster cpu & more ram help? - Not a gamer so don't want to spend excessive amounts on graphics card

Cheers

Mick
