I've seen worse scoobs repaired on insurance....all depends if the roof has been flexed or not...if it has, its a gonner.

Worst I've seen repaired was one that went backwards into a tree at high speed, the span into another tree (The classic scooby rear end "snap" ).

Back end had structural damage right up to the d-pillar. New boot floor, welded in new rear wing sections, rejigged rails and inner framework, new rear valance, new inner bumper, new outer bumper new, lid, new spolier. New door, new wing etc. Repair cost over £10K - due to the high cost of Subaru parts...blame international motors for that

I bought a P1 from a main dealer that had had worse front end damage than that one, and then had been bodged/covered up to be sold on.

Poor P1.

connect back end to a lamp post with a chain

6500 rpm and first gear, drop the clutch to pull back end out

bodge on a fibreglass 22b kit so you dont have to source a type r back end and bobs your uncle, worth an easy 6k

That looks like P1 Gordons old motor... he was hunted from behind and then hit one in front!
Was done several months ago in Essex... funny how its ended up north!

Its a CatD and itll mend quite easily. Rear end damage always looks worse but rear damaged cars are usually much easier to repair.

Opinions are like arseholes: everybody has one. Even so, I will share mine. The car isnt very badly damaged at all. If its repaired properly (and its not a dificult job, assuming that the belts are intact) then itll be as good as new.

Yeh the front isn't bad, but cmon the rear is a mess! TWO rear quarters is a big job, plus the boot floor as well.

I disagree; I have always chosen to repair cars with rear damage by choice. To the inexperienced eye it appears to be worse.

Yeh but isn't replacing rear quarters and the boot floor a big job though? and more to the point expensive? My previous classic had similar damage, but only needed one quarter replacing, and the bill was still > £7K.

depedning on underlying damage, you could use a stock 4 door rear section if, cut and weld in and panel beat the skin benear the window.

Although proper panal beaters cabeable of doing this are few and far between these days. Perhaps 20 years ago you could have, as plenty were kept busy untwisting Cossys and 911
