Performace stats for classic ppp & bugeye ppp / servicing
Has any got the performance stats for a classic uk turbo with ppp and a bugeye with ppp. (0-100,30-70, bhp etc)
Im considering chopping in my golf 1.8t for something a tad quicker and something that will go round corners
Im not too fused about the mpg of a subaru, but what is servicing and reliability like?
I'd be looking at spending around 8/9k and im after a low milage example.
What sort of subaru would you suggest for my price range?
ta!

Hi. I've had a blobeye and bugeye WRXs in the past which were used as daily drivers. Right now I am in a 98 STI which is used as a weekend toy. The STI wins hands down - so long as you can make do with less refinement and worse interior. The difference in performance is like chalk and cheese and the classic car feels more chuckable.
Edited to add - newage WRXs often have gearbox issues, more so than classics. Reliability has been great in my experience - you just need to keep on top of the servicing which can get expensive.
