Default Alarm woes...

I have a Toad alarm fitted to my Impreza, which allows remote locking/unlocking using the fob which also arms/disarms the alarm. A couple of weeks back a friend opened my car door with the key as opposed to pressing the button on the fob, and now my car will not lock or unlock remotely anymore.

Is there anything simple I can do to get it working properrly again, as it's starting to upset me?

Thanks,

Brian.

Do the locks make any clunking noise as if they are trying to work when setting/unsetting the system?

They used to, but not anymore. However the central locking works perfectly when I use the key in the door. The buttons on the fob only arm/disarm the alarm now, and it seems as though by using the key instead of the button on that one occasion, the system no longer realises that it's supposed to be locking/unlocking the doors anymore.

hi mate. i recently had the toad ai606 stysem fitted to my car. you should have had a reset number with it shouldnt you, or was that just the immobiliser? a guy who works on contract for toad and clifford came to my house from sheffield when fitting mine. he said if i had any problems call him. who fitted your alarm? surely they would know. or do toad have a website?

im lucky as my central locking was buggered before getting my alarm, had to lock the front door using the handlew inside from reaching into the back door lol. so i guess when ive opened up the dorr with the key by accident its not made any difference besides testing the decibel level on the alarm
