I got my 04 wrx on Autotrader, you can find them for around £11-£12k. Mine was £11,995, 14k black. Love it!

Wink

I agree with the purchasing of the wrx with PPP. Makes the car perform alot better without needed to worry about the car running slow before the turbo kicks in.

I personally think you'll be a little dissapointed with a standard wrx after having the CTR.

If you're expecting a leap in performance with a std WRX then yes, but the WRX is a nicer car to drive (significantly better ride quality and more traction) and feels more dramatic and effortless owing to the much better torque, which is really what you want on a road car. Fit PPP and it'll feel significantly quicker than the Type R.#

I really like Type Rs, but now having a scooby that develops more torque at just 2500 than a Type R at its peak, I coudn't ever switch to a Vtec engine. When you get used a good turbo, theres no going back.

Maybe not bothered about PPP at the moment..though if you get a car without it..you may end up regretting it later and paying out more money to have it put in..

I would suggest you definately go for one with PPP. There are plenty of them about and they are not much more. It waill keep your WRX ahead of the latest hot hatches for a few years. Check with insurance though before you get it.

Gave up trying ages ago. Got fed up with people whom genuinely seemed interested in an excellent car having seen loads of boring standard stuff or badly mod'd, impressed by the test drive only to offer less than the ropiest examples on Autotrader. If I were desperate to sell then I would have haggled with them, but as I aren't I just told them to foff. Buy mine, or buy a standard and spend £2k+ making it as good as mine, their decision. I'm not bothered either way TBH as I can keep enjoying the car.
