Insurance is cheaper in Germany but they Fully Comp does not cover all risks in all circumstances, if you drive like a maniac and crash they don't pay your damage only 3rd party damage. They do not cover lift off oversteer whilst driving too fast ;o) Much tighter on Gross Negligence related claims e.g. Keys left in the car or outside of garage and unlocked.
