From what I have seen on here it is the keypad to allow you to over-ride the alarm if your transponder goes up the creak. Might be wrong but don't think so.

alarm reset / set and also function change , you can for instance de-activate / re-activate the internal sensors I.E if you wanted to leave a dog inside but still set the alarm / imobaliser

And other changes just to suit your needs , and of course if you key goes all fooked up

Multi-Function Keypad for alarm/ immobiliser. Its used to change features and override if any problems arise. Used to be in the glovebox in the older models.

If your car is a UK model with a CAT 1 alarm, you should have an alarm manual as i have which gives you the details i've described.

and you'll need the actual number to use it aswell. 4 digit number on a small silver sticker.

you'll be able to get the instructions from your dealer but i don't know how you'll get round it if you haven't got the number? must be a way but i wouldn't know.

I know how to reset the 4 digit pin if its not been supplyed with the vehicle, been lost or forgotten, you must be able to disarm the system with the remote to do this, If anyone needs to know send me a PM.

MANUAL

CODES

Google is your friend

Best feature is the auto-lock. Switch on ignition but do not start engine, press "4" on keypad, switch off ign. From now on the doors will lock automatically when you start the car. If you do not want them to lock, for example whilst defrosting windows, then leave a door open whilst starting up. To disable this feature, press "5".
You can also temporarily disable the fobs from working if you're going to leaving the car at home whilst you're away on holiday so if burglars break in and get the keys they can't take the car. Upon your return you simply open the door with the key triggering the alarm and enter your PIN on the keypad.
To leave the car parked with the windows down slightly on a hot day, before turning off, or with the ign on but not running, just press the fob button. The LED should flash (I usually have to do this 2-3 times to be sure it works) and you can then exit the vehicle and when you plip to lock and activate the alarm it will flash 8 times instead of 4 to tell you the ultrasonics have been disabled. It will revert to normal automatically, so you need to tell it each time you want to use this feature.
