Has anyone fitted the ESL upgrade chip.??...My '95 import is running a Z4 ecu and was curious to know what difference the chip would make,the car is pretty much in standard form apart from induction kit and full decat...any ideas??..worth the money..??

Have a look from P3 onwards for some feedback, you could try PM'ing some of the guys who had it fitted. I am contemplating this mod in the near future.

Hello i have recently tolled with the same idea as yourself having owned my series '94 STI for several years running de cat an air filter running 1 bar & 13.5 sec 1/4 mile wondered if there was any point in a rechip ? but since fitting the CSL mod chip the car has been trance formed the boost pick up on the td05 comes in a lot earlier and seriously stronger no fuel cut more torque
& lots more mid range power the car runs on super unleaded now & with no pinking at all & a lot better on fuel
The car was put on the rollers today & ran 309 Bhp & 261 Lbs at 16 Psi
I cannot say how pleased i am with Andys' product the car is a lot quicker & runs so much smoother & more responsive that than before hopefully i will be at the pod on the 16th july
Whenever i have spoken to andy he has was always been a top bloke to deal with & very helpful best money you can spend on your scooby

Well done Ray, thats a monster output on a very free-breathing car. Low charge temps and Sainsburys SUL as well. Good luck at the Pod next weekend, fingers crossed for the gearbox and a 12s run.
