hi folks,
got my beast [03 sti] a while ago, stunning car! Was down Southend at the weekend and saw all the scoobys there, what a sight it was!!.
After changing the head unit and some news decals i wanna go for a new back box. Looking at the Afterburner Vortex, i want something thats gonna turn heads but not be a pain on the motorways. Was wondering which is the most popular one to go for. Cheers! BlackwallTunnel awaits...

Most popular is well there is only one answer to that, is the Blitz Nur Spec (or the 'R' version with the centre as well). It is a noisy exhaust, not sure what it is like on the m'way tho...guess loud

Some of the louder ones are:
TSL Firestorm
Blitz Nur Spec R
Afterburner
Ninja
Just the backbox will release the rumble and give you the noise you want. But if in future you change the other exhaust components, especially if de-catted, it will get much louder.
I had the Ninja BB and it was nice, but when fully de-catted (and a non-resonated centre), it is noisy. Apparently a resonated cente will help with the drone on motorways.
I've resorted in buying a bung (£35) to keep it quiet on the motorway. So everyones a winner!
Just a few thoughts for you...
