Have been using this in my car for some time now.

It became available in some pumps in the midlands but then when I filled up last night I noticed the label had reverted back to 97RON whilst the pump handle still said 99RON. Enquired inside and I was told that they have downgraded to 97RON.

Keep an eye out.

 

mmm. still showing 99 ron at the pump i used last night. cheers for the heads up though. if that's the case then i'll go back to sainsburys as it's a few pence per litre cheaper than tesco sul.

 

Time to go back to 100% Optimax then?!

Tesco do a std 97RON at most their petrol stations now and 99RON a limited number. The Tesco website tells you which station sells what.

 

my tesco's (Baldock) always has it and the pump say's 99ron.
i have noticed the price seems to go up and down alot tho'
only notice coz i'm filling up so often!

It's not going to be avalible in Scotland, well for the near future anyway, contacted them a few months back and they gave some bull about how there doing all that they can to get the fuel to as many filling stations as possible, but had not made any plans to release it in Scotland, *****!!

 

noticed this myself at kingsway derby so filled 50% tesco 50% optimax, seems fine.

 

I havent seem any 99ron in East London.....

 

There's one selling it near Bow on the A12 (or is it A13? - on the road to Blackwell tunnel), if this is classed East London?

 

The tesco's at Barking/East Ham next to the A406 has 99 RON

 

will check at tescos in grimsby if theres is still 99 ron <as we have to oil refinaries on our door step>i to have noticed that the price goes up and down like a hoars draws

When I spoke to them, they said they were about to launch it North of the border, till some gobby tw@t mentioned something about prefering any team other than England to win the world cup and they thought that if the scots were so anti-british they could make their own fcukin high ron fuel

 

tescos in swindon also has 99ron!!, is thhis better than optimax then?

 

I filled up with Tesco's 99RON at biston Moss, Wirral last night. Turbo seems to wind up about 500rpm later but now seems to pack more of a punch. Very odd I thought, any idea's and this is on a MY00 T2000 Uk spec car with Magnex system from end of down pipe pipe back and middle de-cat.

 

what even worse bout livin in scotland we live near the refinery at grange mouth and the only decent fuel is optimax as tesco.s or sainsbury,s only do normal fuel what abunch of ***** eh think its time to start a protest lol

 

The tesco station i use (bournemouth) has both 97 and 99ron,didnt realise untill i put the 97 in by mistake

 

noticed this a while back at WATFORD, herts tescos just one one pump though , as to whether it was 97 RON or not i dont know never found out but its all 99 RON again now.

 

if its advertised as tesco 99 and its not then legaly speaking they are breaking the law
