If people want to burn out clutches and tyres at the lights then that's their perogative.....
The DSG launches well every time....no failed launches, no burned clutches, no screeching tyres, just perfect gear changes....
Everyone on here seems to think they are the stig or something
The point I was making is this guy is not a road hero in his 96 import WRX
He will just end up in trouble and crash his pride and joy
My other car is a WRX300 BTW, I am not TT biased, just realistic.....

If I want to drive spiritedly I take the WRX300 out, but I don't therefore assume that I am faster than every other car on the road.
And everyone seems to assume that TT's can not modded either?
Both cars have awesome potential, so what is your problem?

Actually I have just re-read my post. I did not mean to imply that a DSG would beat an Impreza to 60....
I meant that the combination of inexperience, and lack of familiarity with the car would mean poor starts from the lights, and possible damage to the car...
He should not assume that he will beat every TT he meets
No offence meant....

Anyway m8,
We will just ignore the tt scooby argument and say welcome.
Had mine for 5 weeks now and love it to bits. Had a calibra turbo b4 but the scoob would eat it.

Not everyone goes mad when they get a scoob, I drove like an old granny for the first three weeks, till i decided to try it a bit faster on roads i knew, and never went any faster than I did in my previous car, but got a little more trust in the scoob. My previous car was a very light rear wheel drive so Ive got a good idea of how to corner with out losing the back end - I hope! Ive also booked a rally school day in a cossie, followed by time in an impreza on the track, and explained to the guy teaching that I wanted to better understand the car ive bought, hes kindly offered to give me extra time in an impreza with an instructor. The car is second hand and ive had it to several knowledgable folk to get it checked out also. I am well aware of how powerful this car is. New owner doesnt = prat! Give us a break!
Now Im gonna shut my big trap and post some pics of the new car, and gues what? I luuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv eeeeeeeeeeee it!
And I look forward to many years of safe motoring and chatting with everyone here! Clare x x x
