Drivers Seat creaking
As title, my drivers seat has began to creak which is becoming very annoying - it's on a MY02 WRX with 43k on the clock. Is this common and are there any known fixes?
I have taken the seat out and greased the rails (which hasn't helped) but can't see where the creaking is coming from?

a creak is probally a broken weld take seat out again and have a good look at all the joints, flex main joints with a bar or something see if anything moves maybe ... not saying it is broke i might be wrong , try lubing any metal that touches other metal ...

I have an 02 WRX with nearly 60K on the clock and no creaks.

My drivers seat makes a weird rasping noise from time to time, which I have explained to my wife several times after she heard it happen while we were driving along. Curiously, it usually occurs after having beans on toast for tea the night before.

Take the seat out of the car and check that the bolts which fasten the runners to the base of the seat are tight.
They can be obscured depending on where abouts the seat is positioned in realation to the runners, so you might have to release the adjustment lever and shuffle them about.
My MY02 STI used to work loose and clunk, not creak, but its worth a look.

I also have a creaking seat in my bugeye WRX, though its the passenger seat on mine, so most of the time it's not an issue.
I don't really fancy removing bits to investigate though tbh, so I'll live with it for now. Perhaps let us know if you find the solution
I did also have a problem with my drivers seat, in that it had started to become sloppy, for want of a better word. In other words I think it had become loose on it's rails.
I'm thinking this was from my habit of getting in the car, and pushing hard against the foot rest next to the clutch in order to get my **** firmly back into the seat
This was easy enough to fix by simply tightening a loose bolt
