Default now i'm fckucing mad

Just spent the last few hours wireing up my AVC-R ready for AndyF to remap the car at the end of the month. I come to switch the thing on and have a mess about with it to find the up botton does not work.

I bought it of ebay but the guy selling it has 100% feedback so i thought it was safe......how wrong i was. None of this was stated in the sale.

I have reported the matter to paypal so we will see what happens. I now need to get another or i cannot go ahead with the remap. Has anyone got one for sale or know were i can buy a new one at a good price?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

Here is the link so you can avoid buying from the tw@t

Sorry to hear about that mate, i was in the same situation as you about a month ago when i bought some electrical equipment from an ebay seller with 100% feedback, found out the cd player i bought had nothing inside...it was just the case with no internals. Naturally i contacted ebay and paypal and eventually after about 3weeks got a refund. Lots of decent sellers out there but just as many ***** too.

Hope it all works out all the best

Cheers mate,

Some people eh

I've done a bit of checking up on his user name on ebay, he lives near Dudley and the add says item can be collected from Dudley. Did a search on a well known Scooby website using his ebay user name and a guy has the same user name and lives in Dudley.

Not going to mention the site as it may be just a coincidence they have the same user name and live in dudley.

Cheers mate,

Yeah its not good looks like i will be selling my adjustable rear arms i just bought to help fund another one as i'm not going to get my money back in time.

Why do people have to be dishonest? if it does not work say so. I sell quite a bit on ebay and always try to be as honest as i can.

Slightly off topic - but we could always do a raid on the after-shafter this weekend,

I'll probably be in that hell hole this weekend again!

Wow, I only have front arms, attached at the shoulders. You do know you can't sell bodyparts on Ebay, don't you?

Just out of interest, have you asked the seller about the problem?

Sent him a couple of emails but response as yet. I asked him if he was the same person as the one on a certain scooby website as they share the same user name(racy jace) and both live in Dudley. If he reads this maybe he will come on/sign up and defend himself and tell me why he sold a damaged unusable item on ebay.

How long do they take to wire in mate, seeing as you have already done most of the work...If its a case of just swopping stuff over... ie a five min job, then perhaps you could get Andy F to bring you one down and fit it then ???

Cheers for link,

Once the wireing is done it takes 2 mins to unplug the head unit. I have mailed AF to see if he has one spare if not its looking like a full kit will have to be bought and just use the head unit.

Oh ok then.

Right i bought the AVC of a guy with the user name racy jace on ebay. He said the item could be picked up from Dudley.

When all this kicked off yesurday i pasted his ebay user name in to the SN search and what do i get? another racy jace who lives in/around Dudley and uses powerstation which is were the unit was removed.

It may be a coincidence that there are 2 racy jace's who come from Dudley and have a scoob. If i am wrong racy jace then i'm sorry for naming you. But to honest i think they are one and the same.

The guy is refusing to refund me and says i must have damaged it when fitting the thing. If you wire it up wrong it either works or it does not work..simple. If i had wired it up wrong(which i did not) how would that stop one button from working?

I now have to spend another 300 quid on another as i need it ready for Fridays mapping session with Andy.
