today my girlfriend put 5 pounds worth of diesel in my car which was nearly empty i dont know how she done it as the bloody diesel pump dont fit
but she did ... so i told her to fill the up with super to the top she then drove it back very slowy as i was going to kill her .
about 5 miles then i drained the tank out . do you think it could have done any damage

It will be fine, just run a few full tanks of super through it and add some octane booster for safe measure, diesel has the ability to lower octane rating.
You may find it smokes a bit on start up for a while

Quite a few years ago it was thought that a bit of Diesel in a Petrol Engine assisted in Upper Cylinder Lubrication .................
Doesn't actually sound as daft as the **** Oil Change!!!

how silly of her. Could understand a girl friend putting 95 ron in, forgetting it's mapped for Optimax. Few drops of diesel possible understand - but dribbling in 5 quids worth?! Atleast you blew up at her by the sounds of it - probably won't make the mistake again.
Sure the car will be fine running on Super with booster for a few tanks. Wouldn't want it happening to mine though as I am sure diesel is corrosive to fuel lines and seals etc or something on a petrol. Atleast you've got a good excuse to never let her drive it again.

you need to change the fuel filter and also make sure you drained the tank completly you may find that the car coughs and spluters for a few days but it will soon clear make sure you keep the tank full to make sure any remaining contam fuels mixed with the good stuff as much as poss now then what damage can it do well with a fivers worth not much but it can **** the cat, fuel pump and injectors
i have seen this done many times and forget what the %'s are but if the car was empty and u put £5 of diesel and then fill to full with corect fuel the car should be fine as long as you dont let the fuel drop below three quaters of a tank for a while but with a scoob i would say its better to drainn the tank and start afresh
