Default Is this reasonable?

I have booked my MY01 WRX in for a 45K service and I was quite happy with the price I was quoted.

However I have now been informed that I need new front discs and pads and this will be an additional £286.

In addition to this I have just been told I also need new rear pads too and this will be another £100.

Is this reasonable? (it's at the main dealer)

Sounds right from a Main dealer

DOES THAT INCLUDE FITTING?

Put it like this, I have a MY02 WRX and I got Front Group N cross drilled & grooved disc's, Ferrodo DS2500 pads (Front & Rear), Braided hoses (Front & Rear) and Motul 5.1 brake fluid for around the same money (alittle less in fact) - albeit I fitted them myself. Quite an upgrade for the same money if you're prepared to do it yourself. Considerable improvement in braking!

I think I'd rather pay the money and get it done properly than **** it up myself though.

I do appreciate your point though (i'm going to have crap, expensive brakes)

I had mine done on my 30k main dealer service (MY01 WRX) - £100 for the pads, £100 for the discs, £100 to fit.

In hindsight, I should have bought uprated discs and pads for similar money.

Out of interest, what were you quoted for your 45k service, (and does it include cambelt)?

Well I've not had the brakes done yet but have booked it in to have the discs and pads replaced early July.

I would consider uprated discs/pads though so can anyone recommend anywhere in the North West where I can get them fitted and more importantly cheap?
