Help Needed - i was missold my scoob
I would be grateful if anyone could help me in situation please.
I bought an my03 wrx form a well known subaru specialist in march. I was told this car was a uk car several times but as i couldnt tell a uk car from a uk spec car from holland i beleived them. Last week i was part ex'ing the car when i found out that the car was not a uk car but a parralel import. I was told the value of the car would be quite a lot less than if it was a uk car.
Now i was fuming as you can imagine and phoned the dealer who sold me the car. After telling them the situation they replied with "I didn't tell you it was a uk car, I cant help you" phone down.
Iv phoned the finance company who have told me as the car is a uk spec they have no problem but im losing a lot of money when part exing this car. Does anyone have any pricing guide for march this year with any info for this type of car and does anyone have any suggestions as what i should do?
any help would be appreciated

Did you specifically ask was it a UK car? or a UK spec car?. can make all teh difference.
go back to the dealer and tell them that they misold you the car under the sales of goods act 1979 'as described'

do a nice letter thretening legal action - that shoudl do the trick

Get the salemans name - go down and confront him about it. obviosuly he can deny it.
speak to trading standards and see if you are entitled to anything.
TBH i'm not sure there is a lot you can do but have a go.
i had a situation with my Scoob and legally i did not have a leg to stand on but in teh end and after a few letters (and threatening to come down on Saturday with a thousand flyers) we reached a compromise and i ended up with a cheque for 500 quid through my letterbox not as much as i had hoped, but better than **** all.
