Be Careful
recently my house mate has been looking to buy mini cooper. whilst looking through auto trader she noticed a very cheap one (2004 20k £4500).
she thought this was too good to be true, but e-mailed the person anyway. they e-mailed her back within a few minutes saying that the seller was living in the uk but has now moved to spain and is really struggling to sell it over there. and then went on to explain about how the transaction will go ahead.
she said they were going to use a trust company called iescrow.com to complete the deal, and after a £2000 deposit she would have the car for 10 days to inspect it. if she didn't like it thecar would then be shipped back at the sellers cost (as her fiance is in the shipping industry )
the seller then e-mailed payment instructions which were to pay £2000 by western union wire transfer ( which apparently is totally untraceable. once you've handed over the money theres no way of telling where it went)to an individual.
when i saw her doing this i thought something was wrong because you would never pay a person, you would pay money into a company bank account!
for sure this was a total scam . the web site is a foney web site. it looks genuine but has no contact info on it or other information it should have.
only reason i 've put this post up is because this ****** is trying to sell a blue 05 sti as well. buyers beware
they usually go under the name "rendevouz" in their e-mail address.
