Default Cardiff Worse City For Cars

Tell me something I don't know!!!! Speed cameras, fuel prices, parking and crap plod.

Daughter finishes work and finds a note on her windscreen from a very nice man saying that:

1. Her car was hit by another car driven by a woman.
2. The registration is written on the paper.
3. So is his number.

Top bloke.

Not the first time this as happened, a broken window and a door ding before. She is massively PMT'd off. But this time she as an eye witness.

Off goes daughter to see PC Plod not a few hundred yards away.

He takes a statement. Not very interested. Tell my daughter the car registration number does not exist, "Oh What a surprise" he says having checked PNC/NPC. Does not even phone the bloke.

Then inspects her car.

Now the best bit. He says "It looks like you have driven into an wall, luv!" and then cautions her that her statement may be used in evidence if it was for a fraudulent Insurance Claim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFS.

Even better, he then gives her a 7 day producer!!!! because her Insurance Cert is at home.

Then sends her on her way.

Seriously dischuffed female with big nails is now on the warpath.

She is now making an official complaint to the Plod Station. Why go through all the hassle you may think????

Because she as got the CCTV film from her works. She was unaware that they had one. Look out Plod PMT coming your way.

She wont need it; if he checked her vehicle on the PNC then his collar number will be recorded against the search.

Update.

1. Daughter took CCTV film to Plod. It appears Desk plod entered wrong Numberplate details.

2. She saw a different Officer and was treated much differently. They came to see her in work and on their way there .............. the offending car was in the carpark again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the fun has begun. Will let you know soon.

Daughter recieved this today.

Dear Ms *********,

Just to advise you I have spoken to PC ****** today. He feels you have misinterpreted his comments. He stated when he said 'It looks like a scrape' he did not in any way mean to imply that you were responsible. He also stated that by discussing his previous road accident enquiry,he wanted to advise you that it may take some time to resolve. He did not wish to appear unenthusiastic but accepts that may have been the impression he gave.
He is happy to meet with you and apologise for the way his communication may have made you feel and wants to reassure you that this was never his
intention.

I tried to ring you at home this evening but did not want to leave an answerphone message. I am back on duty monday morning.

Please let me know if you want to meet PC ****** to discuss the issue. You
can respond by replying to this email or call 02920 ****** ext **-***.
The statement you provided and photographs etc have been passed to PC
******' sergeant and the owner of the offending vehicle will be spoken to in
due course.

Yours sincerely,
Blah blah.

Almost an apology but not quite! But at least they are going to "Speak to the offender in due course", I bet they are scared!!!!
