i have some graphics i bought of ebay a bit ago. ive had some of them before and they were good quality so went back for bigger ones. im just looking for some decent in the scunny area. there just big swoosh subaru graphics - one per side roughly 2 feet by 6 feet in size.
i had a guy quote me £40 to fit them but he was used to signs on vans etc...
anyone??

thanx. but anyway do you know which section to look in for applying graphics. most companies in yellow pages just have the addy and number not a description of their services. if you get me.IM NOT STRANGE LOOK AT OTHER POSTS JUST GET WORDS MIXED ROUND SOMETIMES...
Are you one of those "special" people then?
You want a sign writer
most companies that produce custom Vinyl will have a fitting service as well. IMO £40 for two graphics being applied is steep

Yes £40 is steep, just have a bash yourself you're putting graphics on so you've already ruined the car

i would try but i have no idea on the technique on putting them on. what would i need to use to not end up with bubbles etc??
and to the responce earlier about ruining my car with graphics... its each to their own and there are other cars on this forum with graphics. all i wanted was something simple that didnt stand out too much. im looking for the sublte but sporty look. sorry to offend.

Wash the car and dry it then wet the area you want to stick the sticker with lightly soaped water preferably washing up liquid.
Peal the sticker off the backing paper and wet the sticky side of the sticker with the same soapy water, slap sticker on car where you want it, the soapy water will allow you to slide it around a bit to get it level, then us a squeedgy to apply the sticker to the car, forcing all the air bubbles and water out from behind the sticker, when you are happy it is flat and buble free then soak the application paper and leave for a while so that it gets really wet and then slowely peal off the application paper.
If desired you could then go over the sticker lightly with a hot airgun and the squeedgy to make sure it is stuck down.
It will take approx 24 hours for the sticker to cure before you should drive the car, then after 48 hours the sticker should be completely dry and stuck down.
Dead easy.
Now that will be 20 quid for consulting

i could try that wurzel but i dont have a garage at the mo to protect the still wet graphics from being nicked etc or running down the car. this is why i was looking for someone else professional to do it as i have no experience. its ok saying its dead easy but i dont want to f**k it up and waste the graphics.
i will remember the method though when i have a garage built soon... i suppose the recent rain round here wouldnt help if it was left overnight!!!
top advice though mate never thought of something like that.
P.S. TO ALLOY IS IT STICKYSTUFF AS IT DOEASNT EXIST APPARANTLY, TRIED TO SEND HIM A PM, WOULDNT LET ME...

Looking some of the previous posts, I'd say this thread was an example of Care in the Community, and living proof that 'day release' just doesn't work
However, just to humour you, I shall explain my previous post.
On a few occasions in the past I have, reluctantly, had the pleasure of fitting decals that were 'bought off ebay' (a 21st century version of 'got it from some bloke dahn the pub')
The quality of these items has been invariably ****e, and more often than not there are glaring mistakes in the layout which when pointed out to the customer leaves them feeling a little p1ssed off, to say the least.
As a result, I no longer fit anything that has not been supplied by myself, thus ensuring a quality that both myself and my customers are happy with. Simple.
