Modest gains for a PPP...
Heres the mission....
I have a 03 WRX PPP (supposed to be 265 BHP)
How do I get close to 300 bhp without the wife filing for divorce cos
ive had to sell the house to pay for it
It dosnt need to be 300 just the best gains for the money???
Answers on a postcard

fully (or sportscat) decat.....fuel pump and remap will get you most fo the way there,
if you wanted to go over 300 then a VF35/TD05 and a set of sti pink injectors will see you through.

Problem is, with the PPP you're not too far off the limit of what most tuners would advise with the TD04: between 260-280 is usually acheived. So to go much further, you'd be looking at a bigger turbo, which would mean other supporting mods and a further remap etc...
Maybe have a word with Andy F, he's got some pretty remarkable results with the Td04. Maybe with Up pipe, Down pipe and header mods you could get arounf the 300bhp mark on the std turbo

i would spend 500 on springs, brake lines, decent brake fluid and maybe squeeze a set of better pads in, it wont make the car faster in a straight line, but itll stop better and handle better

Without wishing to sound condescending (which it sort of does) what about some driver training instead, you may have already done it, but if not it might be another idea of how to get more out of the you and the car

So what's next then :-
Hayward & Scott 100 cell high flow down pipe (only 2 BHP loss over de-cat pipe & MOT friendly)
H&S Up pipe
H&S Centre pipe straight through
Already have short section from PPP & Backbox.I may change the BB depending on sound levels from the above pipe work.
Followed by a Tek3 re-map with Pat Herborn to get everything flowing nicely.
Before
After
290bhp up from 252bhp
275lbft up from 263lbft
Boost 1.3bar up from 1.2bar.
I am a happy bunny
So we got 290 but with the re-map & using all new parts I am afraid it's way over your £500 budget.
