2 Subaru Dealers telling 2 Different Stories! (Warranty)
My STI is on a 03 plate and now out of warranty, so i called two Subaru dealers to enquire about extending and i was given two different answers:
Called Wilson Subaru:
Sure come down, and we will inspect the car for £70+vat, then give the warranty for near £320 per year, providing the car has FSSH (which it does)
Called Cheam Subaru:
Sorry sir, you car was out of warranty in March, and the previous owner would have had 28 days to extend, and it is now not possible. However if you had bought the car from a Subaru dealer it would have come with warranty..WTF!!!! so i did not buy the car from a dealer...big deal...i saved 1000's by not doing so!
Anyhow..anyone got any idea of extending the warranty? is it worth it? and what is covered?

If you can afford not to then don't get a warranty. At the end of they day they will be making a profit out of you. If you can't afford a big bill then get one. An unmodified 03 is unlikely to go seriously wrong anyway unlees badly thrashed and the parts that wear out probably aren't covered anyway.

The warranty is with Subaru Warranty Services in Croydon. Tel# 020 8603 9921. Contact them direct and they will advise you.
I was told that if you want the Subaru Extended Warranty it has to be continious throughout the life of the car. You get 28-days to renew, otherwise kiss it goodbye.
They did say at the time (mine was 7mths out) that a Dealer could check the car and they would give me a 12mth limited warranty (not the same as the full extended warranty).
