7 months ago i asked the question on here, Should i trade in my MY01 UK300 for a new Legacy 2.5 sen, the general concencus on here was no, on the Legacy forum it was yes.......i got the Legacy.

I am 25 and i feel like i made the wrong desision, i feel like i have bought an old mans car (no offence to Legacy owners), i miss the performance and handling of the scoob, i also miss having a clutch...

The Legacy is fully specced up with leather navigation blah blah blah...but the main reasons for changing where insurance and the dreaded MPG, i can get the insurance on a WRX cheaper now and the MPG aint that much better than the UK300...

Question is should i go back to a WRX, i have the oppurtunity to walk into a Subaru dealer on saturday and drive out in a 54 Plate WRX......

WHAT SHOULD I DO???

the legacy is a 55 plate, and the mileage on both cars is the same.

What sort of issue? I'm 25 and I pay just over £1k for my 400bhp UK300.

there in lyes the issue, i have a qoute for £750 on a WRX, plus the MPG on an STI is alot worse than a standard WRX.

I have a 05 STI PPP, and was getting proper sh1tty MPG. Started to drive sensibly to work & back, short shifting, half throttle, and on 11 miles runs to work & back I'm getting 23-24mpg. Considering I was getting 16-18mpg, it's a very pleasing difference.

Get an STI, you know you should !

The WRX will be tweeked i can see it happening......the missus will kill me though

PMSL your still forgetting the weight disadvantage (and I dont mean the extra Big Mac's you have) new shapes are heavier than mine, just look at your UK300

the only thing that is putting me off the wrx is that it doesnt have the sports seats, although the top half is the bucket style the bottom just looks normal....is this right ??

I dont want to appear to be rude; but havent you learned your lesson? Make your own mind up instead of asking other people to do it for you.... it certainly didnt work last time did it? When you decide what car to buy will you post asking people to decide which colour too?

point taken GC8, yes i am quite capable of making my mind up, but as this is an open forum i wanted to get a general feel for the views towards legacy's and impreza's, and my predicament.

I trust the members of this forum to give honest opinions, like yourself.

The legacy forum will say "get a legacy". The impreza forum will say "get an impreza".

Ask yourself what you want from a car, make a shortlist, test drive 'em then do the deal . There are other makes than Subaru, too, and if spending that sort of wedge I'd be trying everything under the sun

The last time you asked people on here what you should get, they told you, you ignored them and got something else. As your here asking the question again says your not happy with the choice you made back then, therefore the question you need to ask yourself is not do I get an Impreza but which one do I get, a choice of 2 - STi or WRX, only 1 choice STi and be done with it, cos you know in 6 months you'll be back saying I've been offered a great deal on an STi so what should I do
