clutch test...some one help

Default clutch test...some one help

ive jus tried the hand braketest put in third gear with hand brake up, the car did not stall i also smelt something burnin, and also a bit of smoke comin out from the bonnet vent?

what does that mean?

also i have no boost left in my car, my car dont have that pick up it oonce used too...isit coz of the clutch?

it means you now have to find around £400/600 for clutch and fiting ive just bought a new one as im in the same boat

sounds like the clutch is well gone.... by not boost do you mean it doesnt go as fast? try driving in 4th or 5th and put ur footdown, if the revs rise and the speed doesnt then its slipping. becarful though as to much slipping may very well damage the flywheel. get it done asap!!! and get the flywheel skimmed or replaced. what year and milage have you got?

could the loss of boost be due to the clutch?

no bosst - i mean before when i put the foot down it used to like shoot of, you could also feel the boosy kick in...now its so sluggish..

i am gettin it done from api engines on tues

they putting a lighter fly wheel too with a organic clutch

yes if the clutch is sliping you wont get much power so wont have the kick

Just had mine done recently to after a tek3 remap Upgraded Helix clutch + fitting = 900 notes

I had mine done before the remap, cost £415 fitted for an Exedy STi.

Yeh mine is an organic jobby, the kit is pricey to say the least
