MY03 1ST MOT

What's wrong with using the brake tester? There's nothing in the handbook about not using a regular MOT place.
And if testing the brakes on a single axle tester is likely to break the 4WD I would be very worried about braking on mud grass etc in case one wheel locks up and damages my transmission....
My Girlfriends Toyota GT4 comes without ABS, could I have broken the transmission when I lock up.....?

if u put the car on a 2 wheel brake tester, then the front wheels will try and turn the rear ones wich will be stationary.
They take the car out on a road test and test the brakes that way.

Theres two ways of doing the brake test.
Either by using a decelerometer (Tapley Meter) where the car is driven and then footebrake applied etc, or by using a roller brake tester which has 4x4 mode which spins one wheel forward and the other backwards, and vice-versa for the opposite side.
Hope this helps
