Some wont do 300bhp safely.
There is no "safe" limit on how long an engine will hold out after its been tuned, classic turbo's are reknown for having weak pistons that can break from as little as 1.2bar so running 400bhp isnt going to be a safe option in alot of cases, plus you have other matters to consider such as the clutch and gearbox which with anything over 300lbs of torque are going to start to be seriously strained.
Much more to this tuning than just the engine

fully built 2.33 or thick linered 2.5 and a huge turbo....GT30/35R but either way, the box will go before the engine will in most cases.....2.5k for a good built one....

If there is no budget then personally I would be buying the 2.5 Cosworth block and heads off their site

It's what's going into the new Type 25.

What power was Andy F running when he did his 210mph run, and more recently at Scoobywet Live when he logged a 9.44s 1/4
