Default Test drove STI Spec D

Hi everybody

Test drove the STI Spec D yesterday, and I must say I really enjoyed the look of the car.

Not sure about the performance, as it had only got 9 miles on the clock and seemed very tight.

Loved the handling of the car though, and it did not seem to firm a ride.

How have these cars been shifting from the main stealers as i was wondering what kind of discount I might get.

Motorpoint have a couple for sale at £22999 and yesterday I was offered £26500 from main stealer.

What do people think about performance, price and are they moving out of dealers?

Thanks

Be careful when comparing prices that you are comparing like with like. I got a normal Sti from Motorpoint and by the time they'd added alarm, tracker, preparation fee, registration fee, road tax etc it added nearly £1K to the advertised car price. I still got the car much cheaper than a Subaru dealer but not as cheap as the ads would have you believe.

spec.Ds are not available as imports - parallel or otherwise.

They're UK spec STIs with the WRX spolier, silver wheels and black leather interior that have had features like the Pioneer head unit and SmartNav system added in the UK.

Did you not notice them when you were driving it ? ;o)

You'd have to add on the cost of the Tracker and Warranty to an import too.
