I remember reading somewhere about a modification to stop your ac being turned on when you move the air distribution **** to demist.

Anyone done it or know how to do it?

Is it just cut a wire job?

 

why would you want to it's the most effective way of demisting the windows?

 

i dont use ac 90% of the time and just have to turn it off. also when travelling and the ac is turned on you can feel it kick in and the power loss with it.

 

Just press the little aircon button and you are just left with the air to the screen - I do just that, by which time the aircon has cleared the screen enough for the air to continue, but if it mists up again, I just put the aircon on again for a minute.
