Default Hose Pipe Band!!?!?!?!?

Just wondered what cunning tactics people are going to use to get around the hose pipe and bucket bans which slowly seem to be creeping in.

Apparently its ok to wash you dog with a hose....

I just have to buy a dog and then place it on the car. Getting it trained to sit in time for the hot weather is going to be a bugger.

Angry

If 1 bucket of water takes 45 seconds to fill by hose.
And i use 5 buckets to rinse my car down.
Why am i not allowed to use my hose for 1 minute to do the same job, thereby using around one quarter of the amount?
Well done water companies for stoopid rule enforcement!
Everyone by now has a nozzle thingy dont they, to control the flow when not using the hose?
Am i willing to try my theory out in court though or risk a 1k fine?
Nope, i'm gonna use more water and stay legal!
Lexx.

Make sure YOUR water Co. has actually imposed a pipe ban! My know-all neighbour made a comment when she saw me using the hose the other week. I replied by saying "It's amazing how many people seem oblivious to who their water Co. is! I bet most people around here think we're with Thames Water" I bet she went indoors to find an old water bill to discover our area is served by Essex & Suffolk, who have not (yet) imposed a ban.

They were saying on the radio that something like 23million baths worth (!?) of water are leaking per (day or week, can't remember) from pipes etc.

But they all make a pant load of net profit.

Well done the government for allowing that

LOL

I've just moved into an area where one busybody neighbour has just bought a 200 litre tank, so is on hosepipe patrol

Luckily he wasn't armed with the facts, I can jetwash my drive until Saturday - then the drought order comes in. Sutton and East Surrey btw

either use bottled mineral water (sparkling if you have the cash) or drive 20 mins north and find a jet wash.
