Talking

hello all

Is there a difference in height between STI 5 and STI 6 rear spoilers? Or is it just that the 6 has a "lip" on the top section? I'm looking at changing the puny standard item. Any one bought a spoiler from DR Motorsport (comes with free painting)? If so I'd be interested to hear what the paint job is like.

If enough people want a bigger spoiler, how about approaching one of the various suppliers for a group buy?

As far as I am aware the difference between the two is that the v6 has an angled top where v5 is flat.

Ernie,
Both spoilers are approximately 12" in height. The top wing on the STi6 has a different angled part to it, so makes it 1/2" higher.
We ran a group buy back in June and July for all types of rear spoiler, and will probably offer a similar group buy again in the Spring, still including painting.

Thumbs up

Hi ernie

I bought a 22b style spoiler from DR Motorsport.

I bought it un-painted as I had a local bodyshop repair the boot damage (as the original spoiler was stolen ), paint and fit the new one.

While I asked for mine to be supplied un-painted, I can tell you that the quality of the product was/is very good.

I've also had a close look at Robertio's STi 5 (or 6) spoiler from DR.
His was supplied painted and from what I saw it looks very good.
(Don't tell Robertio I told you that! )

For a pic of both of our cars, have a look at:
http://www.drmotorsport.co.uk/Body%20Styling.htm

The STi 5 silver spoiler is Robertio's, the 22b silver is mine.

Give Dave Reid a ring - he's very helpful.

Hope this helps...

Rich

Oh and by the way, I had to have different holes drilled to make mine fit - not a problem in my book, but worth noting..
