Folks,

The price has gone down because of the reduction in air travel. With airlines not requiring as much fuel there is a surplus of crude.

Still makes a nice change for petrol to go down in price.

Erm, refining crude oil gives you aviation fuel (Kerosene) and petrol (plus a dozen or so other products!!)

Crude oil price may have something to do with it!
Cheers

Since the tragic events of Sept 11 the price of petrol has gone down about 11p a litre. As mentioned earlier this is because the airlines are not using as much. When confidence returns or the war turns bad then expect it rise to pre Sep 11 levels. Make the most of it. It wont last.

In my experience these reductions have not been passed on to SUL. My local Esso which used to charge 79.9 for SUL when NUL was 77.9 STILL charges 79.9 now that NUL is 69.9.

Gary - we're all coming down to Ipswich to fill up and clear you out. Sounds like a good excuse to give the car a day out !!!

not a bad idea ash, get a trailor and lot of drums and get them filled up, may be worth the time and effort depending on how much sul/optimax is in your area.
