suspension Knocking?

suspension Knocking?
04 sti uk:- 25,000 miles has developed a sort of knocking noise coming from the boot, literally only over the last week. Its random too. Sounds as if something is rolling around the boot 
after a quick search theres a lot of talk about the rear suspension, hub bolts and other bits and pieces - so im presuming its quite common? sounds like offside rear to me

had any mods done like ARB, springs etc...?
check all the nuts and bolts
checked for loose spare wheel, jack, tools etc...
otherwise it sounds like the struts - you should be able to get them done under warranty as it is a common known problem on the newage STis

only problem with changing them under warrenty is that they will start again before you know it - only way to get rid once and for all is to uprate the struts
