Default PASS M.O.T WITH OUT ANY CATS AGAIN

Well my Bugeye has done it again for the second year running with nearly 99,000 miles on the clock she pass her M.O.T again with out the 2 cats on, the only one i left on was the up pipe, the bloke at the M.O.T station was suprised that it passed with out the 2 cats as alot of subarus he gets in dont, the only thing he had said was you have very slight play on the front offside and nearside anti roll bar droplinks, so off i went to subaru and got some to be on the safe side. Before he had mentioned this i had noticed a little knocking sound or clunking sound when going over uneven surface, so i gathered this was it, and yes when i fitted them it was sorted, but i have one slight problem when i brake i hear a clunk noise, now it dosent do it all the time, but fairly often, its hard to pin point where the noise is coming from but it sound like the drivers side, could it be the caliper? Its got my head baffled as i do not like noises that should not be there if you know what i mean. Any suggestions plz.

Funny you should mention this, mines getting due (7th June) and I don't know whether to try it with just the orignal centre cat in place.
Is yours modded in any way?

I have doubts that mine would pass, I nearly choke to death on the fumes if i'm sat in traffic for more than about 20 seconds

It should pass with just the cat in the downpipe, that comes as no surprise.

I could do with it been remapped as i need more Bhp, you can never have enough Bhp, the only thing ive noticed is that the engine is abit tappety not all but a few are as when you put your ear to the engine you can more or less tell which ones they are. Can these be ajusted or is it not worth the hassle?

the noise from ur brakes might be the retaining clips on calipers mb it is broken or just worn down that can cause a noise when u brake u hear the pad snapping back in to place

just a thought

Mine passed it's MOT last year with just the up-pipe CAT - but just failed this year.

I also get the clunking noise on braking - but only since having the 2-pots replaced with 4-pots. Can't find out what it is either - everything seems fine.

I am fat, I'm not Ginger and I have clearly pissed you off!! What does it feel like having such a pig ugly car? Do you not mind getting laughed at by everyone who sees the carbuncle you are driving??

The only thing thats in a BugEyes favour is that they are bloody cheap and easy to find .... there is only ONE buyer per BugEye .... that is the rate of mental disability in the UK!!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You look in the mirror everyday and see a handsome witty bright young man with everything to live for. In reality you are so ugly you dare not leave the house for fear of scaring the kids on the street so you spend every waking hour on Scoobynet (hence your number of posts)

Oh and you said that they are cheap and easy to find, well sorry but i do not see to many on the the road (Lets guess you were gonna say becasue there ugly and no one wants them) the fact is i like the fact you dont see many bugeyes which makes them less common, as for the rest of the scoobys you see loads and are very common in blue (im not slagging them off as i like all scoobys just incase anyone was gonna say somthing). This post started about passing an M.O.T with out cats and once again you get pslewis with nothing else to do but slag people and there cars off.
