Didn't you get David at API to check out the leak while you were there? Going there for a performance mod knowing that you had a substantial water leak seems like an obvious case of putting the cart before the horse! Is there no logic in your partnership?

bf does not listen to anything i tell him, why you think i come on here and he doesn't. i told him to get leak looked at, as did his mates and even his mum, but no, he knows best and now he has got me asking these bloody questions on here.
how do you think it makes me feel, and i don't even drive the bloody car!!!!

I'm sorry to give you the grief, then. If you went to API, you ought to have brought up the subject of the leak off your own bat.

bf told me not too, i wanted to, plus i wanted to ask david a few other things myself, but all bf wanted to do was get home. fair enough he was knackered cause he had been at work all night but if he really wants to get this car sorted he has got to do it himself. i can't do everything for him you know, i'm not his mum!

It sounds bizarre. If that's his attitude, he's heading for an almighty bill. Driving an Impreza at 110+ mph with no coolant can only end up with one result.

he's not driving it that fast, he's actually sticking to the speed limit on the main roads and carrys water with him to refill it. and yes it does sound bizarre and what an excellent way to describe my bf because personally i think he is a eegit!

Well if he's not driving it at that speed, why did he get it derestricted? I think we're getting a disturbing insight into his psyche, here.

Do you have a shared monetary investment in this vehicle?

If not, wash your hands of it. In the drips from the water leak if needs be.

Got a rad off ebay, was roughly £100 IIRC.

Alternatively, try Alyn at AS Performance, tel: 0191 4103770. Sound advice and does mail order too.

Where's it leaking from exaclty, ish? Are you finding puddles on the floor etc?

P.S. Ignore Bubba Slow

Only joking
