Default help changing steering wheel required

hi
how do i change an sti7 steering wheel for an sti8 steering wheel as the plug on the back of the airbag unit is different

please help as i have neither wheel now on and dont really want to put the sti7 one back on

if you received the wire from the airbag module on the 8 wheel, then use that and splice the wires into the wire from the loom.

If you didn't receive that lead (as I didn't) then you'll have to use it without wiring it up (as I have done) - which helps when you have a crash as the airbag doesn't go off and you can use the steering wheel on your next car (as I have done )

does it matter which way round the wires go when connecting into the airbag

dont like the idea of not having it connected, also dont i have to fool the car in some way so as to get rid of the airbag light
