removing chewing-gum
some smart **** has stood in chewing gum and it has made a nice mess of my car mat
any ideas of how to get it out?(bleedin women)

What he says.
The olde worlde way is to put ice cubes on it then when good & hard it picks off more or less in one piece.
I dare say there is some Stain Devil "Gum Away" stuff as well.
Or a steam cleaner will boil it off.

Get spray can of deoderent or sumit like that, spray on the chewing gum close as you can till it freezes, then pick it off, workes every time and gets rid of the lot

your mat will also be sweat free for some time
