Default Is my turbo Kn***erd

My car has started smoking out of the exhaust on tickover when warm a kind of greyish smoke that smells a bit like oil, not a thick blue smoke like a proper old oil burner but enough to get me worried, ive done a search on here and it sounds to me as if its the turbo oil seals, if i remove the turbo is there any way of telling if they are knackerd? theres a little bit of oil in intercooler but not much, it dosent use alot of oil 1ltr in 5000miles im running on silkolene pro-s 5w-40, the car is a my00 uk turbo 49000miles running 270bhp and runs fine and pulls well, since ive had it its allways been warmed up properly and cooled down.
Any ideas?

It dosent seem to do it all the time, just some times and it can be quite bad, there is no smoke at all when cold or on start up, just when warm and ticking over

General rule of thumb:

Light grey colour = Steam.
Dark Grey / Black = Fuel.
Blue = Oil.
